About
Me: After Woburn I met my future husband,
did a fair bit of travelling together and settled
down six years later. Currently I live in Oshawa with
my husband of 18 years and our two boys (12 and 10).
Went back to night school to get my Human Resources
degree. Best memories of Wobs were of course, the
infamous smoking lounge, lunch hours and hanging with
my friends. |

through the spring & summer months. In the winter
I keep busy by representing a B.C. based audio, video

About
Me: After graduating from St. Michaels's
College, University of Toronto in 1977, I joined
the brokerage business in Toronto. In 1987 I was
elected Director of Sales for Midland Walwyn, Canada's
largest brokerage firm. I had 37 offices, 1200 employees
and managed assets in excess of $7 Billion.
Started my own brokerage firm in 1991, R.J. Beatty
Financial. Sold it in 1997, and moved to Nassau,
The Bahamas. Produced chamber music festivals in
Guelph, Halifax, and Nassau. Was a director of the
Toronto Symphony Orchestra for a bit.
Now, I am divorced, a father of four lovely kiddies.
Do financial management for smaller and middle size
corporations; taking them public, merging, acquiring,
and executive assessment and placement.
I travel between the east coast (where my kiddies
live with their mommy), Ontario (where my parents
and family live), the Bahamas (where I have business)
and Europe (where I retreat).
My most memorable Woburn experience was playing
rock and roll music all night long with Des, Geoff
and Oggie at the Sleep In. If you did not attend
the Sleep In, you haven't lived!

About
Me: After Woburn I went to Western for my
undergrad in Anthropology and then to nursing school
to get a real job! I've now been a nurse for 15 yrs
and spent a number of those years working in Saudi
Arabia. I was fortunate to have been able to do a
lot of traveling, but am now happily settled back
in Toronto and specialize as a trauma RN. I haven't
gotten married (yet!) and have no kids, but life with
Greg and I is fabulous. We have a great little summer
getaway, a cool condo in the city, we travel when
we can, and life is good. |

About
Me: After graduating in June 1981, I got
a "temporary" job in finance and haven't
left it!! I moved to Mississauga in 1987 where I am
still in the lending industry. I have remained friends
with a lot of my Woburn friends and ended up marrying
a "Woburn guy" Hardy
Liersch, although we NEVER dated each other in
high school! We did sit one behind the other in grade
9 French, but he thought I was stuck up and I couldn't
get past the "cadet hair!" We married Sept
24, had a boy in 1996 & a girl in 98. Although
he died July 2001, the support I received from our
true mutial friends, most of who went to "Wobs"
kept us going. One of my favourite memories of high
school, had to be Mr. Flahff's
photo board, fantastic football games & Bark
Lake adventures! |

About
Me: Yes,
still Doug's little sister. After leaving Woburn I
decided to take a year off to decide what I wanted
to be when I grow up.....still trying to figure it
out! For the past.. well let's just say over 10 years
I have been working in the Human Resources field,
currently I manage an office for a busy employment
agency in Scarborough. Often I have Woburn grads and
students coming in to look for work with us, so it
is nice to still be in the area since I moved to Newmarket.
5 Years ago my boyfriend and I moved to Newmarket
where we still are but now he is my husband, we will
be married 3 years this August (2006) My husband,
Shaun did not grow up in the area and has a 10 year
old daughter from a previous marriage which is great
for me - getting to be a step mom, no other children
yet but as I am reminded almost everyday my clock
is ticking. So if you are looking for a job or just
want to say hi feel free to email me. Also, as some
of you know my brother Doug passed away suddenly almost
10 years ago, any friends of his I would love to hear
from. |

Me: After graduation I studied graphic design
at George Brown College and have worked in advertising
ever since. I am currently running my own graphic
design business.
My favourite memory would be participating in Woburn
Theatre Production of theThe Madwoman of Chaillot.
It led me to perform and direct in community theatre.
I have also had two short plays chosen for production
at the Alumnae Theatre in Toronto.
I remember representing Woburn on REACH FOR THE TOP
with Kathy Giles, Debbie Jaynes, Bev Coole and our
fabulous alternate Kathy Hall. We didn't win but,
we fought well. |
